The Connecticut State Police Narcotics Task Force, along with the East Windsor Police Department and DEA agents, raided the home of Mark Edward Betancourt, 45, of East Windsor, on Thursday, said state police officials.
A search of the home turned up a sophisticated grow operation that included 193 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, 1,153 grams of processed marijuana, numerous marijuana seeds, grow equipment, scales, and packaging materials, state police said.
Detectives also seized numerous firearms, including an Uzi, an AK-47 with a loaded magazine, an AR-15, several high capacity magazines, a bump stock and a silencer, they added.
The bomb squad was called to the home, located near East Windsor Middle School after agents uncovered explosives and fireworks inside an attached garage, troopers said.
Betancourt was charged with operating a drug factory and numerous weapons and drug charges, as well as the risk of injury to a child and reckless endangerment.
He is being held on a $250,000 bond and is set to appear in court on Friday.
